Every Joomla website has different requirements. That's why Smart User Manager doesn't rely on fixed workflows. Instead, you create your own rules tailored to your needs.

Define custom subject lines and message content, and use placeholders to automatically insert user-specific information, such as:

For multilingual websites, you can create separate email templates for different languages. Smart User Manager automatically uses the language assigned to the user or falls back to a default language if required.

This ensures that every user receives a clear and personalized notification in the appropriate language.

Simulation Mode for Safe Testing

Before a rule makes any changes to user accounts, you can test it in Simulation Mode.

When Simulation Mode is enabled, no changes are made. All actions are simulated and logged without affecting your users.

Before running a rule for real, you can see:

• which users would be affected,
• which conditions are met,
• which actions would be performed,
• and whether the rule behaves as expected.

Once everything is configured correctly, simply disable Simulation Mode to enable the actual processing.

Built-in Safety Mechanisms

Automated user management requires reliable safeguards.

Smart User Manager protects important user accounts and prevents critical actions, for example when:

• a user has been explicitly excluded,
• a protected user group would be affected,
• the currently logged-in administrator would be processed,
• a user account is required for website administration,
• or a rule contains conflicting actions.

You can also define user groups that should never be modified or deleted, providing an additional layer of protection against unintended changes.

Detailed Logging

Every rule execution is fully logged.

The log includes information such as:

• which rule was executed,
• when the execution took place,
• which users were checked,

• which actions were simulated in Simulation Mode,

Automatic Execution with Joomla Scheduled Tasks

Smart User Manager integrates seamlessly with Joomla Scheduled Tasks.

Set up a scheduled task and choose how often your user management rules should run, for example:

• daily,
• weekly,
• monthly,
• or at a custom interval.

Without a configured Scheduled Task, no rules will be processed automatically.

You can also run rules manually from the Joomla administrator interface at any time.

Manage Rules Individually

Each rule has its own status and can be managed independently.

You can:

• enable or disable rules,
• run rules manually,
• test rules in Simulation Mode,
• duplicate existing rules,
• change the processing order,
• or delete rules when they are no longer needed.

This allows you to prepare and test new workflows before enabling them for automatic execution.
