Smart User Manager is installed like any other Joomla extension using the Extension Manager.
Install the Extension
- Download the Smart User Manager installation package.
- In the Joomla Administrator, go to System → Install → Extensions.
- Select the downloaded ZIP file or drag and drop it into the upload area.
- Joomla will automatically install all required components and plugins.
Once the installation has been completed successfully, Smart User Manager will be available in the Joomla Administrator.
Check the Task Plugin
To enable the automatic execution of rules, the included task plugin must be enabled.
Go to System → Plugins and verify that the Task – Smart User Manager plugin is published.
Note: The plugin is enabled automatically during a standard installation.
Create a Scheduled Task
Rules are executed automatically using Joomla's Scheduled Tasks.
Go to System → Manage → Scheduled Tasks and create a new task of the type Smart User Manager.
You can then configure, among other things:
- the execution interval,
- the maximum number of users to process per run, and
- whether Simulation Mode should be enabled.
Once the scheduled task has been saved, all published rules will be executed automatically at the configured interval.
Tip: For initial testing, it is recommended to enable Simulation Mode. All actions will be simulated and recorded in the log without making any changes to user accounts.
