Smart User Manager is a powerful Joomla extension for the automated management of user accounts. Instead of manually reviewing and maintaining users on a regular basis, you can define rules that identify specific users based on configurable conditions and automatically perform the desired actions.
The extension is especially suitable for websites with large numbers of registered users, membership sites, clubs, online stores, or customer portals where user accounts need to be managed on a regular basis.

- Deleting unactivated user accounts after a specified period
- Sending reminder emails to inactive users
- Blocking or disabling user accounts after a period of inactivity

A rule always consists of three components:
- Conditions, which define which users are processed.
- Action, which specifies what should happen to those users.
- Schedule, which determines when the rule is executed automatically.
Rules are executed using Joomla's Scheduled Tasks. This allows rules to run automatically at the configured intervals without requiring any manual intervention.
To ensure complete traceability, every rule execution is recorded in the log. In addition, new rules can first be tested in Simulation Mode. In this mode, no changes are made to user accounts—all configured actions are only simulated and recorded in the log.
To protect important user accounts, Smart User Manager includes several built-in safety mechanisms. Individual users or user groups can be excluded from processing, and the extension also prevents critical actions from being performed on protected administrator accounts.
